Rap Rock

IcePhixia is hard at work in the studio on the final touches for the new album. The cd will be mostly rap rock with electronic undertones, allot of contrast, color and hooks where used so that the listener will have a new experience every time they play the cd.

Urban Prophecy focuses on the rage against materialism and a struggle for individualism. It also focuses on emotional pain most of us can relate to. The words are cynical and skeptical but the music is urgent, colorful fast paced and dreamy to creating a perfect blend of styles.



History of rap rock

Rap Rock refers to a hybrid between elements of rock music and also that of rap music. rap rock usually contains beats between 100 and 130bmp, guitars, real drums or electronic drums, rap vocals sometimes blended with rock vocals. some call this music numetal although rap rock refers to a larger genre of this music including elements of drum and base, rave, hip hop, metal, alternative and a large list of other music genres. Rap rock is relatively new and has quite a large following. One of the first really famous bands to incorporate rock rap was limp biscuit and linkin park.
