An excerpt of ITV News' live coverage of 11 September 2001, covering UK Prime Minister Tony Blair's speech to the Trade Union Congress (TUC) in Brighton, in which he gave his initial reaction to the attacks on New York's World Trade Center. The Prime Minister had been due to make a lengthy speech to the TUC, but instead he made a brief statement in which he described "mass terrorism" as "the new evil in our world today" and called on "the democracies of this world" to "fight it together and... eradicate this evil completely". He then informed the congress he would be returning to London.
