How to Change the WiFi Channel of your Wireless NVR

If your wireless security cameras frequently disconnect or go offline, the problem may be related to your WiFi channel. In areas like apartment buildings or busy neighborhoods, many devices can compete for the same WiFi channel due to the presence of numerous nearby networks. Think of them like radio stations: when two stations use a similar frequency, the signal gets fuzzy as you drive between cities. The same kind of interference can happen with WiFi.

In this video, we’ll show you how to manually change the WiFi channel on your Wireless NVR. Choosing a less crowded channel can greatly improve signal stability and reduce camera dropouts. After changing the channel, you may need to reboot your NVR and cameras, then use the Manual Pairing feature (found in the right-click menu) to re-establish connections.
