Hello Friends:)La Brea Tar Pits is an active paleontological research site in urban Los Angeles. Hancock Park was formed around a group of tar pits where natural asphalt has seeped up from the ground for tens of thousands of years. Over many centuries, the bones of trapped animals have been preserved.
Today they're constantly finding new bones to put on display in the museum, which has many full animals on display. It is a great place to see and plan some time for it if you visit Los Angeles.
