This is why Mongolia is one of the unluckiest countries.
Firstly the country is completely landlocked between Russia and China. This situation has led Mongolia to be a puppet state for most of its history, with its biggest purpose being to act as a buffer between China and Russia.
Secondly a significant portion of Mongolian land is comprised of the dry Gobi Desert, which is why almost all of its people live in this one city.
Lastly more Mongols live in the Chinese region of Inner Mongolia than in Mongolia itself.
