Amazing blues by Hopkins! This is actually a remastered an reissued version of his first release on Herald. The song was originally released as Don’t think ’cause you’re pretty in 1955. This version has an added reverb, which I think adds to the blue feeling of the tune! It was recorded in April 1954 at ACA Studios in Houston, TX with Hopkins on vocals and guitar, Donald Cooks on bass and Ben Turner on drums.
