On The Scene: Authorities on Thursday (July 10) recovered a sack containing what appeared to be bones during the retrieval operations for the remains of missing cockfight enthusiasts (sabungero) allegedly dumped in Taal Lake. Police Col. Geovanny Emerick Sibalo, provincial director of the Batangas police, told ABS-CBN News the sack was discovered about 10 meters from the shoreline. It has yet to be confirmed if the bones are human, as the sack was turned over to the regional Scene of the Crime Operatives for forensic examination.
