If you don’t have a short bongo stand and happen to have an extra snare stand you can try this method. This method is great for those who are playing seated and for whatever reason can not place the bongos between their knees or on their lap. I have also used this method in a pinch for adding the bongos to a hybrid drum setup or seated auxiliary percussion rig. Get creative and use your resources. Of course a stand created just for this is ideal however it may not always be an option.
