Maritime Bhangra x TELUS Friendly Future Foundation Back in 2016, we didn’t have a lot of equipment to record, edit and present our videos to a larger audience. We were just a group of crazy dancers.
Not many people believed in us, probably not even the ones very close to us. Living thousands of miles away from our families certainly added to the situation.
What enabled us to record our videos and present them in front of you was the technology and more importantly the trust that few people had in our dream of bringing the concept of #joyfulactivism to life. We had the conditions and the loved ones who made the initial push possible for us. Not all of the youth have this kind of support; and many wonderful organisation around Canada are working hard to support the youth to provide with the opportunities to connect them with the digital world such as TELUS Friendly Future Foundation.
Since 2018, TELUS Friendly Future Foundation has been connecting youth to a world of opportunities by supporting more than 500 charities across Canada that offer health or education programs that help at-risk youth thrive in a digital world.
