Beat DJ is a program I made for creating Beats live and mixing them together but it has evolved into a fully functional DAW. Often when performing electronic music live it can be fun to project your screen to the audience if you are doing interesting things like livecoding or visuals. So the visual aspect of Beat DJ is meant to look interesting for live audiences but simple enough that it can be controlled at the same time by the performer (who is also making the music) or maybe even audience members through the mutliplayer web portal (soniare.net/multiplayer)

Currently we have a few visual things you can adjust:
- screen resolution / font sizes / element layout
- color themes / transparency ('theme' & 'transparency' commands)
- animated dancers (`dancer` command)
- polygon drawing system (`vip` command)
- background images ('img' command, has AI generation option)

For the future I have some ideas like:
- oscilloscope drawing
- 3d animations
- video effect overlays
