After reading Murray Nolan's excellent blog about the County Top Challenge, to get to Irelands top peaks in every county, I decided to give it a go myself, or at least a running start.(Check out Murray's blog here: )

First up was Westmeath, handily enough for me starting out, the lowest of all the county tops! The Lake County's top is in Mullaghmeen Forest, North of Westmeath.
I also included a small segment of my drive over to nearby Fore Abbey as well, featuring Bartle D'Arcy. To tie it all in with a bit of local history from the area.
