Her body. His Voice. Following the journey of transition through ballet and spoken word, The Lady That Dances is a tender exploration of strength and vulnerability. Featuring RAD ballet student, Sophie Rebecca and spoken word artist, Ash Palmisciano, their stories entwine in an emotional performance, illustrating the trials and tribulations in the path to self-acceptance.

Sophie Rebecca is the first openly transgender ballet dancer to pass a Royal Academy of Dance Examination, she was assigned male at birth and took her RAD exam as a woman. Sophie worked closely with choreographer, Lynne Reucroft-Croome to choreograph The Lady That Dances to represent stages of her life and the prominent moments from her journey.
