When purchasing seed garlic, you'll see that there are two varieties- hardneck and softneck. In this video, Elaina briefly explains the difference between the two. Both varieties are planted exactly the same and Elaina shows you how! It's best to plant the garlic cloves in the fall to get the biggest bulbs. The garlic will be ready to harvest in July or August of the following year.
