Listen & buy: One of French electronic music’s most revered names, The Reflex debuts on Glitterbox with the long-awaited ID ‘Weekend’. The now London-based producer, DJ and remixer is widely celebrated for his ‘revisions’, deep diving into the stems of tracks and re-building them from the ground up. He has added his signature to hundreds of classic tracks from A-list artists, clocking in over 100 million streams and earning him major respect from the scene’s very best - including Nile Rogers, Disclosure, Mousse T., Gilles Peterson and famed ‘Thriller’ songwriter Rod Temperton to name a very small few. Originally debuted in December 2018 as a rough demo in The Reflex’s ‘Mastertapes' series, ‘Weekend’ quickly became a reliable secret weapon for his DJ sets across the globe – soon to include Glitterbox’s summer season at Hï Ibiza and the label’s stage at Defected Malta in 2025. His most requested track ever, ‘Weekend’ was created with Scottish producer and long-time friend Johnny Copland who lends his multi-instrumental talents to the record; with its incredibly catchy hooks and undeniable feel-good vibes, The Reflex’s ‘Weekend’ is now finally released unto the world.
Glitterbox is a nightlife phenomenon and record label conceptualised in 2014 by Simon Dunmore, founder of house music institution Defected Records (est. 1999).
