Kate Liu's performance at the 2015 International Chopin Competition was the only one to receive a standing ovation, and she ultimately won third place. Her interpretation of this concerto also floored me the first time I heard it.Chopin's Concerto No. 1 in E minor is incredibly popular, so it's always interesting to hear different interpretations of it. In this video, I review and analyze Liu's performance of the first movement and discuss what she does to achieve her performance!
