On May 11th, 2023, experimental musician and film composer Colin Stetson performed with visionary art pop musician Deradoorian for the sixth installment of Graveyard Shift—a concert presented by Pioneer Works in collaboration with Brooklyn’s historic Green-Wood Cemetery. The Canadian-American saxophonist, multireedist, and composer is known for his powerhouse performances. He’s collaborated with the likes of Arcade Fire, Bon Iver, Lou Reed, LCD Soundsystem, and more, and still his recorded output is prolific. His film credits include the scores for Hereditary and The Menu. A former wrestler, Stetson’s raw physical prowess merges with a relentless exploration of his instruments to cast intricate sonic textures that captivate and challenge his audiences.

This project is supported by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation Program in Public Understanding of Science and Technology, bridging the two cultures of science and the arts.
