Kashmir has been struggling for a long time to even facilitate life in its surroundings. The days in Kashmir are full of gloom due to the decades-long fight between India and Pakistan over Kashmir’s ‘land’. In the current scenario, Kashmir and the people of Kashmir have been ‘othered’ by the state and a major part of the population has created an image of Kashmiris based on the state powered narrative of it. The voice of Kashmiris is being subdued under the political agendas of power.

With our film, Nazariya: Story of Kashmir, we try to bring out those voices and see their perspective. It is time to really open our eyes and see what Kashmir really is beyond all the narratives around it.
