James Taylor (born 1948 in Boston, Massachusetts) is an American singe-songwriter and guitarist. He is well-known for his lyrics that draw from his emotions and personal experiences, and as a six-time Grammy Award winner, he is a beloved artist in the folk and country genres for his effortlessly smooth melodies.
He has two children from his marriage to Carly Simon, and he married Kathryn Walker for his second marriage, and later married Caroline Smedvig, with whom he has twin sons.
