Oliver Riedel (born April 11, 1971) is a German musician, one of the founders and bassist of the band Rammstein. Born in Schwerin, he had a good relationship with his parents, although he was shy in his teens.
In 1992, he played in The Inchtabokatables, and later, together with Richard Kruspe and Till Lindemann, he founded Tempelprayers, which became Rammstein in 1994.
He has two children, is interested in photography and sports, especially skateboarding and surfing.
Musical style: Uses fingerpicking and a pick, sometimes uses arpeggios, plays acoustic intros on some songs.
Instruments: Uses Sandberg bass guitars, ESP Eclipse, MusicMan Stingray, as well as various effects pedals.
Charity: In 2022, he sold his bass guitars, and the proceeds were donated to charities to help Ukraine.
