Huge EV charging expansion at M42 Hopwood Park Services. Now 54 chargers!

The UK electric vehicle charging infrastructure is growing as sites are getting new upgraded grid connections. There's been a 47% increase in the number of chargers in the last year alone.
In this video, I visit the Welcome Break Hopwood Park Services on the M42, south of Birmingham. These services, located at J2, have recently seen a massive expansion in the number of EV DC rapid chargers. There were originally two Gridserve 50kW chargers and 16 Tesla V2 Superchargers.
But now there are an additional 8 Applegreen 180kW chargers, serving two vehicles at a time and Tesla are just opened (March 2024) a new bank of 20 V3 Superchargers.
So this now brings the total number of DC rapid charging bays to 54 at Hopwood Park Services!
