Earlier this week, The International Olympic Committee unanimously voted to include Breaking, along with Surfing, Skateboarding, and Climbing as a Provisional Sport in the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
While this is still a while away, I feel like it is important to think about what this decision means. Breaking, a.k.a "break dance". Beyond being featured in what is arguably the largest international event in the world, it's debatable if Breaking is even a sport-- because it really is so much MORE than that.
Thanks to Stance, Dyzee, Gravity, Storm, Cros1, and all the others who have helped grow Breaking in a positive direction, accessible to all.
