Abortive Gasp: Church is empty
Don Campau has been a pivotal figure in music since 1969, evolving from an avant-garde musician with The Roots Of Madness to a pioneering radio host and archivist of the cassette culture movement. His radio programs, starting at KTAO-FM and later at KKUP-FM, have championed diverse genres including jazz, ethnic, and home-recorded music, culminating in the influential "No Pigeonholes" format that spotlighted international cassette culture. Through his Lonely Whistle label and the Living Archive Of Underground Music, Campau continues to document and share independent music, while also recording his own eclectic albums.
