This man asked everyone for $2 but all the street vendors said no to him. Some ignored him. Until one old man decided to lend him money. The entire $7 he made that day. So the man decided to pay him back.
The old man is 91 years old and still working because his only son doesn't want anything to do with him. Last time they saw each other was 10 years ago. He had came back for new year's but left quietly at midnight while the old man was asleep.
They fought about many things. The old man wanted to move to Shanghai with him but he wouldn't let his father join. The old man claim that his son used to hit him too with a stick. It's unknown what happened that makes his son this way. Or was he always this selfish.
The younger man decided to help the old man out and buy everything from him. He was selling nuts. Most of which were moldy. Obviously, whoever bought from him was just trying to help him. One bowl of noodles is around $3-$10 usually. So even though he doesn't make much money, he could at least be able to afford one meal a day. But he for sure won't be able to live well with that amount.
Feeling empathetic for him, the younger man not only bought it all from the old man, he also decided to give the old man all the money he had in his pocket. He was just testing the old man to see if he was kind. He had money after all. The old man tried to decline but after other street vendors encouraged him to take it, he did.
The younger man also came back later with pork. Claiming it's too far where he is going but didn't think things through before buying the pork. The old man claimed he won't be able to eat it all so the young man told him to eat it over several days. And even got the old man's address. He will visit the old man soon.
With just $7 this old man gained a son that he lost 10 years ago. Even though they aren't related, the old man is nevertheless happy to have someone who care for him. For someone so kind, of course he deserves the care he gets now.
