Just Me, Some Technic 1200MK7s, a Mixer and a Stack of Wax. Bangin' out some of my favorite Classic Techno and a few new pieces as well. I remember buying my first Techno album from Buyrite in 1988. It was "Techno - The New Dance Sound of Detroit". I wore that album out. Every mixtape I made for the next few months contained multiple tracks from that LP. I'd soon learn that the tracks on some of my favorite Detroit "House" labels was not House, but TECHNO! Of course I already had "Let's Go" by XRAY (Transmat), Strings of Life by Rhythim is Rhythim, Big Fun by Inner City, and other early tracks on 12" by Blake Baxter, Kevin Master Reese Saunderson (KMS) and so on, but I thought it was House. Learning that this music was made by Kats from around my way made me love it even more. I fell in Love with Detroit Techno in 1988-ish, and been in love with Detroit Techno ever since. I left Detroit in 1989 - The City wasn't good to me - Or maybe I wasn't good to the City. Sometimes I wonder if I had locked in like a monk and focused on Music in 1988, would the City and I had a better relationship - Would I be more in this Music Game than a lowly, humble, Bedroom DJ...Or maybe that's what I was called to be...K-Sera Sera...It Is What It Is...Anyway, I'm here. I hope you enjoy this mix. It was one shot -one kill, no do overs, no edits - all the train wrecks remain - I like it pure. Comment, share, like, and subscribe. PEACE-ONE!
