Reaction continues to pour in after Quebec’s government announced it would scrap a COVID-19 vaccine mandate for health-care workers, citing a potential impact in the ability to care for patients.
Before Wednesday, Quebec was on track to require inoculation by Nov. 15, but said the loss of unvaccinated staff would have had a “devastating effect on the system.”
As Gloria Henriquez reports, advocates have been swift to condemn the government for its decision not to require vaccination in the health sector.
