“Little Home” was written back in the Spring of 2019 during a particularly challenging mental season Chloe, co-lead of The Wildwoods, was going through. One of the main ways Chloe and Noah communicate with each other is through song. Whether it be about love, funny and exciting experiences they find themselves in, or even hardships they endure, singing and playing music with one another always brings them closer together. Noah wrote the lyrics, illustrating Chloe's struggle with depression, in hopes of his wife coming to the realization that if they work through their hardships together, everything will always turn out to be okay. For many, being in your early twenties is not all bliss and liberation from adolescence, rather it can be a struggle of constant comparison and lack of contentment for one's essence. During a season of constant change and growth it's very easy to get caught up in society's expectations of where one "should" be at during a certain point in life, with some sort of achievement deadline vastly approaching. The lyrics of this song are meant to create a sense of serenity and peace for anyone feeling lost or hopeless, even if it's only for a little while. Life can have a much clearer perspective if you take each day as it comes and take the time to focus on the wonderful things happening around you right now. Like the song says “Take a good look in the mirror and smile, be yourself for a little while. It’s hard to go slow when you move to fast, while your still young why don’t you make it last?”
