There is just something about listening to a Toyota rock crawler truck bounce off the rev limiter after it successfully makes a hard climb in front of a few thousand people. This is what the Thursday Night Backdoor Shootout at King of the Hammers 2022 is all about. It is a giant gathering of off road enthusiasts at one of the most infamous obstacle at Johnson Valley OHV located just outside of Yucca Valley, California. People typically come here to watch all of the high dollar race rigs attempt this climb, but not tonight. On Thursday night during KOH 2022 everyone is welcome to try their hand at Backdoor. You will see every type of rig hit this rock crawling obstacle. We saw tons of Toyota trucks, comp crawlers, and even a really nice Dodge Ram Charger. This event can get pretty rowdy so I decided to get their early and get a good parking spot. Then when it got late the crowd started getting rowdy I just loaded up and climbed the Johnson Valley Back Door obstacle in my new Busted Knuckle Off Road Rock Bouncer that I call Knucklehead. This is quite the rush with so many people watching and cheering you on. Let us know which of these rigs is your favorite in the comments.
