this is the first time i've cleaned a record rip using Izotope RX 10 and i'm really proud with the results, please let me know what you think!
this is easily one of the rarest records i'll publish on this channel -- maybe the rarest i've published so far? this is the first ever release on the Mountain Fuji Records label, limited to an extremely small but unknown number of copies like all private pressings were. however, this one marks the beginning of a legacy of legendary releases. Mountain Fuji Records was founded by Hiroshi Miki and eventually turned into 音のメルヘン屋 (Oto no Meruhenya), a very significant label with TONS of very rare privately pressed records on it. this record in particular by Nakamuraya and Yadoya no Meshimori is featured on the Wonder Ground Record Book made by Branco Label, a comprehensive guide on Japanese independent releases from the 60s-80s. Nakamuraya's songs are wonderful on here; their first track is electric. amazing vocals with progressive guitar chords and a loner folk song on the b-side. Yadoya no Meshimori have a melancholic folk rock ballad a-side and a bossa nova inspired b-side that is probably my favorite track on this record. this is one of the peaks of Japanese private pressings.
this is where i'd tell you to support the artists but you literally can't. just enjoy the music, that's as much as we can do :')
