'11 Days From Christmas' is a 1970s parody written by Les ("Metro") Pavelick and Neil Headrick. It was later refined, recorded and included in Metro's successful 1975 solo Christmas LP album of the same title. The album was a hit and the song became a holiday classic in western Canada, especially in the Prairies. Considering funny Canadian parodies, it predated the 1982 SCTV’s one by Bob & Doug McKenzie.
After a 40+ years career as a comedic entertainer specializing in Ukrainian shtick punctuated with his on-stage accented English, Les Pavelick passed away in 2013. Headrick retired in 2016 after a 3-decade career as a radio host at CKBI in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan.
