Musical Style
Drawing on jazz-funk and fusion idioms, the album juxtaposes tight, groove-driven originals (**“Balloon,”** **“Rattlesnake”**) with reimagined standards (**“My One and Only Love”**), all underpinned by Suzuki’s inventive bass work and Yoneda’s synth textures.
Contemporary Reviews: No coverage appears in major Western jazz magazines (DownBeat, JazzTimes), suggesting it flew under mainstream radar at release.
Fan Feedback: Discogs reviewer “soundgenetics” (Jan 24 2024) remarked the “wonderful music is totally wasted by vocals,” evidencing mixed opinions on its vocal passages.
