Mourners continued to bring tributes to the Moscow concert hall on Sunday that was the site of a deadly attack.

"It is a tragedy that has affected our entire country..." said one of the mourners Marina Korshunova.

"This is a horrible tragedy. We mourn together and, of course, express our condolences to all those who have suffered," said Svetlana Tuligenova, another mourner.

On Sunday, 24 March, Russia began a day of mourning for the victims of the attack in Crocus City Hall on Friday night.

Events by cultural institutions were cancelled, flags lowered, and TV entertainment and advertising was suspended, according to state news agency RIA Novosti.

Meanwhile, family and friends of those still missing after the attack waited for news of their loved ones.

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the decision to declare nationwide mourning the day before in a televised address.

Putin also said that Russian authorities had arrested 11 suspects, including four believed to have participated in the attack. He claimed they were captured while fleeing to Ukraine.

Kyiv has strongly denied any involvement, and the Islamic State group’s Afghanistan affiliate claimed responsibility.
