Blue Moon based on night raga- Raga Darbari- signifies the moon mystically reflecting the blueness of the sea and sky. The strong notes in the alap enables the listener to visualise the moon as the King- so large, so gigantic and how it gradually becomes a part of the dark royal blue sky and the blue green sea. As it becomes the crown of the sky and at the same time, immerses itself in the sea, Blue Moon signifies its great reaches and reflections through the powerful notes of Raga Darbari played on the Bansuri by Pt. Ajay Prasanna. As the tiny stars watch the transformation and the changing shades symbolised through the progressions in the track towards the end, the vibrant yet dark night becomes serene and calm.
