The Seminole Indians operate casinos on their native land including the Seminole Hard Rock, which is the sixth largest casino in the world.
The tribe also owns the Hard Rock brand itself which means any casino, bar or café you go into operating under that name is putting money back towards the tribe, sorry Hard Rock Nick…
The tribe uses the profits from these operations to pay all of their members a payment of $128,000 a year. Children get this money paid into a trust which they cannot touch until they are 18, which means by the time they can use their money they are multi-millionaires.
Tragically teenagers and life changing amounts of money are not a great combination, and the tribe has had serious issues with the money being spent recklessly on fast cars and parties often with devastating results.
