It’s an absolute honor to be asked to record an Essential Mix for the BBC Radio 1, the pinnacle of all dj-mixes. Showcasing everything I’ve played in 15 years of being a dj, from the early beginning, a sound that has shaped me as an artist, to what inspires me now and everything in between the house spectrum. I spend hours in finding the right tracks as there were too many for me which meant something for me at a specific time. If I see the track title, I always remember where I first heard or played it. It creates a memory and this for me is something music does to people, it brings memories and that’s what I tried to do with this mix, my musical journey with tracks that mean something to me.
