Ingredients:
- Day-Old Steamed Rice
- Egg
- Steak
- Chicken
- Shrimp
- Smoked Sausage
- Onion (white & green)
- Carrots
- Red Jalapeños
- Soy Sauce
- Rice Wine Vinegar
- Sesame Oil
- MSG
- Sugar
- Salt & Pepper
- Oil (for frying)
Step 1: Prep the Ingredients
Steam your rice the day before and store it in the fridge. Thinly slice your steak & chicken and cube the smoked sausage. Dice the onions, carrots, and red jalapeños. Crack the egg into a bowl and whisk well.
Set aside while you preheat your pan or griddle to high heat.
Step 2: Cook the Meat & Veggies
Add a little oil to your hot pan before adding your steak first. After a minute or two, add your sausage, chicken, and the shrimp last. Season with a little salt & pepper.
While the meat cooks, add a little more oil and add your onion, carrots, and red jalapeños. Let these cook for a couple of minutes before tossing together and removing to rest.
Step 3: Cook the Egg & Rice
Wipe down your pan before adding a touch more oil and pouring in your egg. Let that cook for a bit and then add your rice. Toss everything well to break up the egg.
Add your meat & veggies and give everything a good toss so the ingredients are well-combined.
Step 4: Add the Seasonings
Add a little bit of rice wine vinegar, soy sauce, salt & pepper, sugar, and MSG to your fried rice. Toss until fully incorporated and fragrant.
Lastly, add a drizzle of sesame oil right before plating.
This really is one of the easiest and most comforting meals you can make. It's packed with flavor and protein, and is perfect for keeping you full for hours.
I dare you to try it and not love it.
