Proposition E, the Partial Allocations of Hotel Tax for Arts and Cultural Purposes, is a local SF ballot measure on the November 2018 ballot that looks to restore funding to arts and culture in San Francisco to the Hotel Tax, without raising taxes.

This measure has received nearly unanimous support from San Francisco leaders, the business community, and arts and culture organizations. Prop E has earned endorsements from Mayor London Breed, the San Francisco Democratic Party, the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce, the San Francisco Labor Council, the Alice B. Toklas LGBT Democratic Club, United Educators of San Francisco and over 115 arts and culture organizations throughout San Francisco!
Without raising taxes or taking away from other city services, this measure aims to re-establish a connection between San Francisco’s Hotel Tax Fund with arts and culture funding that was originally established in 1961.

Arts and culture act as a magnet for tourism in San Francisco and bring in needed revenue to the City. Prop E would reinvest in the fabric of our communities and make arts more accessible and affordable to ALL San Franciscans.

Vote YES on E by November 6th, 2018.
