In little time London based artist Tash LC has established herself as an assured DJ, collector, broadcaster and presenter across both radio and club mediums, with a passion for music from the global club space both classic and contemporary. Tash finds herself at home on the airwaves with past residencies on BBC 1Xtra, Kiss FM and Worldwide FM, and currently hosts regular shows on NTS Radio and Movement Athens. balancing highly palatable afro-jazz and highlife broadcasts with more up-tempo meetings of Kuduro, Gqom, and esoteric club sounds. With the backing of some of dance music’s most influential institutions and an effortless ability to command a dance floor, Tash has quickly become one of the UK’s most exciting new talents.

“I discovered these records on my most recent trip to Amsterdam after hearing a Surinamese record for the first time at Coco Maria's house and being immediately mesmerised. I'm hooked on the intricate layers of percussion and rhythm in these records, like a perfect melting pot of all the elements that make Caribbean music so addictive. These are mainly Kaseko tunes, an evolution of Afro Surinamese Kawina music from the 1930's. and is a fusion of numerous popular and folk styles derived from Africa, Europe and the Americas, featuring the skratjie drum, saxophone, trumpet and usually call and response style vocals. Pure happiness!
