Macy’s Fourth of July Fireworks popped off with its 49th annual extravaganza.This year, the show had 80,000 shells, significantly more than last years 60,000, firing off 1,000 feet over the Brooklyn Bridge and East River.
Thought I was staying in this year, but the opportunity to view it from Pier 17 fell in my lap literally at the last second.
