This song is dedicated to my late mother Janette, we lost her December 8th 2023 at 57 years old...when my mother was first diagnosed with cancer, I wrote lamentations of the fall with tears in my eyes...here I was not many months after that, writing this song for my mother post mortem...tears in my eyes...but being filled with her adventurous hardworking dedicated spirit...I tried to capture it in sound...while also releasing the emotion of sorrow I felt in my heart...that still has yet to pass...that was a big one...As I struggled to get the sound I wanted from my riffs and other instruments, I went back to the tunings I used for lamentations...and I made this...my mom may in truth have hated this music, but myself it is my art and soul...The title comes from the fact that I believe the lifeforce a mother shares with a child, is the most powerful gift one being could give to another, and it is the greatest gift anyone has ever given me...and I will always use it wisely...I can never repay that to my mother...all I can do, is strive to live better and do better. This one is for you mom, I hope you catch it on the airwaves sometime in the great beyond somewhere out there...
