I never really knew much about the Forbidden City before visiting China, and I left thinking it is one of the most impressive and important buildings in history!👉 It was built before Columbus ever sailed to the Americas!
👉 It's the world's largest imperial palace with 9,999 rooms and took over 1 million people to build!
👉 It was one of the most important buildings in history as it was home to 24 Chinese emperors over the past 600 years.
Our guide was great! Telling us both the amazing and difficult history of the area. My favorite part was seeing the locals wearing traditional dresses and enjoying this piece of history!!
