
This workshop is all about jumping and hopping. Can you jump with your feet in parallel, and like ballet dancers do in ‘first position’?
The sessions are designed for children aged 2 to 6 years but many of the activities offer a fun challenge for older primary school children too.
These workshops are specially created for families with younger children to do from home while nurseries and schools are closed. They form part of Sadler’s Wells’ ‘Take Part’ series. The workshops are led by Cherie Coleman, who runs the popular Family Fridays sessions at Sadler’s Wells.
Movement activities like these have a range of benefits – they can enhance cognitive development, encourage creativity, increase flexibility and range of movement, and help to develop physical strength and stamina.
