Elvis is the most famous artist but there is so much more to Sun Records.
Before Sun, Sam Phillips released just one record. Joe Hill Louis, on his first record label, It's the Phillips.
As well as Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash and Roy Orbison all recorded at Sun Records.
In 1955, Sam Phillips launched his own radio station, WHER. It was the first all-female radio station and adopted the slogan, "1,000 beautiful watts".
In 1969 Sam Phillips sold Sun Records to Shelby Singleton.
