An explosion at a train station in Quetta, the capital of Pakistan’s Balochistan province, killed at least 24 people and injured more than 40, according to police.
Officials said the bomber blew himself up as a train was about to leave the platform. Among the dead were soldiers from the Pakistan army.
The militant group Balochistan Liberation Army has claimed responsibility for the attack.
Pakistan’s Balochistan province, which borders Afghanistan and Iran, has been grappling with a decades-old insurgency.
