This is "Wait", from our album Black Feathers. It started with J sending me the synths and drums. The chords are beautiful and romantic, but deeply sad. Like falling in love when you shouldn't. Romance, but the messy, sad kind that you'd get in a Wong Kar Wai movie. Everything came together quickly after that. I wrote the riff between teaching guitar lessons. Lyrics, vocals, and a few layers of fuzz and feedback later, it was done. #shoegaze #dreampop #postpunk
