However, the ocean is facing major threats like climate change, overfishing, pollution and industrial exploitation. 🆘 The deep sea holds large quantities of valuable materials such as manganese, nickel, cobalt, and copper, which are in high demand as they are used to produce technology like mobile phones. As land-based resources become increasingly limited, marine deposits are attracting more attention as the world shifts away from fossil fuels.
