In the most untimely manner, I finished writing an essay on the topic of Peter Do and Helmut Lang's synergy THE DAY the news broke that Peter Do is leaving the brand.I want to use this opportunity to read my essay out to you, offer my insights into a topic that may never matter anymore, but I think it's good practice for me and good critique on Peter Do's stint at Lang.
I have been a Peter Do fan for a while now and his debut at Helmut Lang was still lingering in my mind after a year, not in a good way.
The other day I decided to investigate this and gained more insight into why I disliked Do's debut collection at Lang.
I have to clarify that his work at the label has eventually matured into something better, I am really satisfied with Lang's new Cruise collection.
