He lives alone and has no one else. He takes care of himself and is lonely. He also has severe hearing problems.
The woman made him a meal and it moved him so much that it brought him to tears. He never thought he would see her again. Years past, he had lost all hopes of seeing that random stranger again but that day, she came back to find him.
In the past 3 years, she had gotten married and even had a child. She was very busy hence why she didn't get to drop by for a visit.
After she showed him a photo, all the memories came back and he invited her inside. She brought him clothes and he loved it. She even cooked him dumplings just as she had done last time. He said it was delicious.
But you can see how emotional it made him knowing that she was leaving again. She promised that they will meet again. He is in his old age and doesn't get to go out much and make as many friends. He spend most of his time alone which is why her presence is so cherished by him. I hope we can all be kinder to each other. Talk to an elderly neighbor, strike up conversation with an old man or an old lady, they have a lot of stories to share and may just be waiting for someone to share it with.
