Logarius ain't exactly an easy boss, but you don't have to fight him since Cainhurst Castle is one of the game's optional areas.
I tried the cannon first to see if it would cause serious damage on him, but it didn't, so I resorted to the old fashioned way with the Saw Cleaver and rifle.
Towards the end of the battle, I got really lucky with the parries and poor Logarius didn't stand much of a chance with the devastating damage I dealt him.
But watch out for his ranged attacks, those angry spirits are quite painful, and when he starts jumping since the lock-on camera has a hard time with quick foes like that.
