IKARVS - Harpy
According to Greek mythology, harpy is a half-woman and half-bird personification of powerful storm winds.

We were attracted to the idea of woman possessed with powerful force of disruption, able to punish mortals for their misdeeds.

In this case, politicians from the ruling party in Poland are the ones to be punished. The law restriction on abortion they put last year, caused mass social outrage - thousands of people, mostly young women, went on the streets to shout out their anger and make their voice heard.

Woman’s voices can also be heard all along the whole composition - starting from heavenly, hypnotic vocals of Alexandra, they raise their power to become creature like in the second part of the song.

Funny thing is that the whole idea came from the working title of the track - „h_arp” - which originally didn’t have anything to do with the mythological creatures, but rather the arpeggio melody sung by Alexandra in the key of „H” (or „B”).
