Soorya Manasam is a 1992 critically acclaimed Malayalam movie by Viji Thampi starring Mammootty in the title role. Mammootty played the role of the slow-witted Putturumees, one of the most acclaimed characters in his career. Raghuvaran played the villain, the estate manager at Urumees' workplace. The movie was produced by Geethanjali Nandakumar under the banner of Nandana Films .It emerged as both a critically acclaimed and as a commercial hit .
